The scammer, who remained anonymous for fear of retribution, says vulnerable migrants are lured into the criminal business, with the promise of a well-paid job.
He says Australians are seen as 'wealthy' and 'trusting' to overseas scammers and are therefore easy targets.
The Australian Federal Police have launched Operation Firestorm to try to tackle syndicates in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. It's a part of its Joint Policing Cybercrime Coordination Centre known as JPC3
