How Does a DSCR Loan Work?
Because real estate investors write off expenses on their properties, some may not qualify for a conventional loan. The debt service coverage ratio loan allows these individuals to qualify for home financing more easily. That’s because DSCR loans don’t require proof of income via tax returns or pay stubs, which may not accurately represent an investor’s annual income due to write-offs and business deductions. Instead, borrowers can buy one or more income-producing investment properties based on the cash flow of those properties.
