In original Medicare, there’s no cap on out-of-pocket costs.
Even if you don’t take prescriptions, you need a prescription drug plan, or you’ll pay big penalties.
The Part B Medicare typical premium is $148.50 a month. But depending on where you live, you may qualify for reimbursement, from $25 all the way to $144 a month.
Medicare can help with non-medical items, including personal hygiene items like soap and toothpaste, as well as help with groceries, community resources, and more. Seniors who qualify in Florida can have college students teach them how to use a laptop or do chores.
Medicare plans change every year, so people need to review them to make sure their doctors stay in network, their co-pays and deductibles haven't gotten too high, their prescriptions are still covered, and they’re getting the coverage they need, like dental.
