Freedom Convoy representatives Derek Noonan and Chris Dacey hold a news conference on Parliament Hill to comment on the recent Federal Court ruling on the government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act, and to discuss the future of their movement. The group and its supporters are expected to congregate on Parliament Hill this weekend, marking two years since the first protests in 2022.

On January 23, the Federal Court ruled that the federal government’s decision to invoke the Act in early 2022 to clear convoy protesters was unreasonable and led to an infringement of Charter rights.
