Most of the front wheel drive GM vehicles do not require you to disconnect the upper and lower ball-joints and pull the spindle out of the way. However, on the S10 Blazer, the CV Axel Shaft will not compress or flex enough to come out any other way. Most front wheel drive vehicles, you can disconnect the lower bal joint and that is enough to get the shaft out. The S10 Blazer 4WD is a little more complex, as you will see in this video. Remember to inspect your hub bearings while the shafts are out. This would be the ideal time to change them if they need it.
