Zebra Slot Canyon and Tunnel Slot in Escalante

This video shows the hike to Zebra Slot Canyon in Escalante. The hike to Zebra Slot Canyon is about 2.5 miles, and the slot itself is about 0.1 miles. It's a short slot canyon but well worth seeing. Zebra Slot Canyon has some very narrow passages and a couple of areas that require scrambling. Because the slot is so narrow in a few places, larger folks won't be able to make it very far but should still be able to see a little of the first part.

Zebra Slot Canyon can be taken as either and out-and-back or a loop. If you take the loop, you'll pass through Tunnel Slot. To get to Tunnel Slot, keep left once you exit the Zebra Slot Canyon and pass upwards between two hills. At the top of the hill, you'll see a fence. Go PAST the fence; do NOT follow it to the right (we did this the first time and had to backtrack). Keep a bearing of 113° and this will lead you to another canyon. Drop into the canyon and follow the wash, which will take you to Tunnel slot.
