DIY automatic satellite dish 3D printed ,Arduino controled.

For a long time i've been on the search for a inexpensive automatic satellite dish that would be less then a tag of the usual up to1200 € .
Owners of a caravan or a camper are familiare with the "tree" problem You face every now and then.
Having a bit knowledge of Arduino,3D-print and analog electronics made decide to try it on my own.
The main part is cheap dish and a satellite finder that can be bought everywhere.

Peeling the sat finder out of it's housing and soldering some wires and connect them to the Arduino worked out very well.
In the end,the whole thing will be at a price of less then 200 €.


Some complaints came frome my "better half" about the stepper noise.
Currently i am working on a V2.0 version with DC-motors and resolver to get it a bit more quiet.
