Transformers: Spotlight Vol. 1 Explained (2005 IDW G1 Comics Retrospective: Phase One, Part Four)

Starting in 2006, IDW started publishing a new series of Transformers comics to accompany Simon Furman's ongoing story in the -ations titles - that new series was the Transformers: Spotlight series, one-shot issues that focused on specific characters from the Transformers universe as well as enriching and expanding the world and lore of the 2005 IDW Transformers comics continuity. Things heat up in part 4 of this IDW Transformers comics retrospective as we look at the first volume of Spotlight issues - it's Shockwave vs. the Dinobots (or Dynobots, rather) on pre-historic Earth; Nightbeat encounters Micromasters in his first brush with the Dead Universe; Hot Rod searches for redemption by rescuing former teammate Doubledealer; Sixshot seeks out the Terrorcons and meets the Reapers; and Ultra Magnus takes on Scorponok and Zarak on Nebulos!
