Peruvian Rainforest Mountain Great Hike, Perú.

Drove from Tingo Maria to Cayumba (~45 minutes). Trail head was located near to Cayumba. The astonishing ~5.4 miles hike in & out total took ~5 hrs including spending time for taking pictures, videos and swimming on the beautiful river area near to Grand Canyon water fall. Be aware reaching the beautiful waterfalls required to cross the Derrepente river 8 times one way. We were lucky, the weather was perfect (September) since sunny, not raining, the river level and currents were manageable with Kelvin's help. Following all Kelvin's guidelines made our hike super enjoyable, for instance, we did not use hiking boots, just bought light shoes gear from a local market there. We contacted Turismo En Ruedas tour agency located in Tingo Maria, and arranged the Derrepente River hike. Kelvin was our great guide during the whole trip.
