Student Police Cadet programme is a joint initiative of Police and Education departments.
It aims at training the high school students (8th and 9th) on democratic values; duties and responsibilities of a citizen; discipline; health and hygiene; safety; road safety; traffic rules; social and human values; etc.,
In Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, around 2600 students of 30 Government High Schools are being trained under SPC programme.
The cadets also learn through reading some good books under “Book of the Month” activity.

The selection of cadets is held every year in govt high schools based on written and physical tests.
