⭐️ Did you know, the Piri Reis World Map from 1513 is one of the oldest world maps containing many firsts in itself?

Piri Reis has succeeded in describing the coastline and islands of the newly discovered regions of the world in detail and quite accurately. Considering the period in which it was made, this is a tremendous achievement.

Piri Reis on this map, used a rich variety of illustrations and depicted the fauna of the regions, first time ever.

This map represents the oldest cartographic record of Voyages of Christopher Columbus.

It is one of the earliest records showing the hypothetical continent Terra Australis.

Today it is kept in the archives of the Topkapi Palace.
