He is now being touted as the next Prime Minister of Bangladesh even as elections are scheduled for February 12 next year. Pakistan-backed jamaatis enjoyed political patronage under the BNP government from 2001 to 2009, minority communities including Hindus were being murdered in broad daylight as they are today when the BNP is seeking a return to power.
