It's easy and possible to buy train tickets online in advance. Do know though that once there you'll also need to pay a per person National Park entrance fee as the train does pass into the park. From the cruise port it is about a 20 minute ride and about $12 US round-trip per person. Set the amount with the driver before leaving along with return plans.
