– GAME OVERVIEW –

Baseball Simulator 1.000 for the Nintendo Entertainment System is a baseball sports video game. It was developed by Culture Brain (now Nihon Game) and published by Culture Brain USA (now Nihon Game). The game was released in North America in March 1990.

This version has been made available for the Nintendo Virtual Console (VC) service, namely:
Wii U – Region: North America – Release Date: July 7, 2016

• Baseball Simulator 1.000 was released in Japan as Choujin Ultra Baseball (超人ウルトラベースボール, lit. Superman Ultra Baseball) for the Nintendo Family Computer (FC) on October 27, 1989.
◦ Choujin Ultra Baseball by producer Yumenosuke Academiya is the first of Culture Brains' baseball sports video games under the Ultra Baseball (ウルトラベースボール) brand, which had sequels through 1995. Some have been localized for the Western market as part of the Baseball Simulator series.
◦ The Ultra Baseball series returned in 2014 with the Japanese release of Choujin Ultra Baseball Action Card Battle (超人ウルトラベースボール アクションカードバトル) as a downloadable title for the Nintendo 3DS. But as the name suggests, it is a card video game.

• There are four leagues available in Baseball Simulator 1.000. The first two contain regular baseball teams, the third is for Ultra teams only and the fourth allows a player to create their own league (any mix of regular and Ultra).
◦ An Ultra team has Ultra Plays – super pitching, hitting and fielding moves – at the cost of Ultra Points to increase its chances of winning.

• Baseball Simulator 1.000 includes six stadiums, one of which is in space – [as seen at 14:46].
◦ When a home run hits the scoreboard directly, it breaks and fragments scatter as a visual effect – [at 1:42:33].
