Critic, curator, and former executive editor of “Art in America” magazine, Nancy Princenthal, speaks about the nationally significant and threatened site specific installation “Greenwood Pond: Double Site,” by the artist Mary Miss, which she says “helped establish a paradigm for public projects that promote deep understanding of the natural environment.” The video is part the event “Mary Miss and Women of Land Art,” which was prompted by the Des Moines Art Center’s threatened demolition of “Greenwood Pond: Double Site,” a work commissioned for its permanent collection.
