The QuadraFire Discovery woodstove series comes in three models.
The discovery I model will heat 800- 2,100 square feet, will burn 7 hours and weighs 285 pounds, and receives the u s biomass tax credit.
MSRP $2279

The Discovery II series will heat between 1000 to 2,600 square feet. Has a burn time of ten hours and weighs approximately three hundred and forty pounds. It does not receive the u s biomass tax credit.

The Discovery III model wood stove will heat 1,100 to 3,000 square feet, has a burn time of twelve hours, and weighs 360 pounds. Unfortunately, it does not get the u s biomass tax credit.

I always recommend using double wall pipe in all wood stove installations.
The primary reason is the design of the modern wood stove is high efficiency and therefore we are experiencing a cooler exhaust temperature from the start. As you may have seen from my previous videos, cool exhaust temperatures encourage rapid creosope formation, which in turn create chimney fires.
Therefore, a hot chimney is a clean chimney.
A double wall chimney pipe will keep the exhaust temperatures warmer and reduce the chance of creosote formation!

Step 1: Open the door and put four pieces or more of four inch diameter wood inside the firebox.
Step 2: Put your kindling over the wood in such a way that you have a pocket to insert your fire starter.
Step 3: Put your fire starter in the pocket and ligh it.
Step 5: Activate the automatic combustion control system by pushing it back and pulling it forward. This initiates twenty minutes of startup air.
Also, during this step, you should take the primary air control and raise it all the way to the top to give it maximum air.
Step 6: Close the front door firmly.
Step 7: Monitor the fire and adjust the burn rate control and load wood to maintain a comfortable room temperature.

In this Byron on the rooftop video in a Midtown Chimney Fireplace Store in Conifer, Colorado, Byron shows us how to light up a fire in a Quadrafire, wood burning stove.
The Quadrifier Discovery series is a nice series at a very affordable price which features two great things that Byron points out: changeable side panels with Home Depot twelve by twelve ceramic tiles to change the look of the stove and a wood storage rack underneath!
