CNC Machining Workholding Wednesday Widget! Part 3

Creative, reliable, efficient fixturing can make-or-break a parts run or even a machine shop's bottom line. Quickly working up CAM and G-Code to CNC Machine a part that is "self-fixturing" and does not use a vise is a win in my books.

This Three Part Wednesday Widget does just that: a 1/8" thick, 2.75" OD round machined wheel needs machining both inside along its outside diameter. Sure, you could drill the center hole in a first operation and then finish in a second operation, but let's do it all in one operation! Better yet, let's use SolidWorks and SprutCAM to easily create fixturing tabs! We'll then blend those
tabs in with a scotchbrite wheel!
