📖 Full story:
My Culinary Victory

I was at the market, looking for fresh ingredients.
I needed to prepare for the big cooking competition next week.
Cooking was my hobby, and this competition was very important to me.
When I was picking tomatoes, I saw her. It was Emma, my school rival.
She was now a famous chef.
Seeing her made me feel nervous.

"Hi, Alice," Emma said with a smile.
"Are you preparing for the competition too?"

"Yes," I replied, trying to stay calm.
Inside, I felt scared.
Emma was so confident.
She was a celebrity chef now.

We talked for a bit.
She told me about her success.
I tried to focus on my shopping, but I kept thinking about her.
I felt a lot of pressure.
Winning this competition was my chance to prove myself, but now it seemed very hard.

The day of the semi-finals came.
The challenge was to cook a dish using a difficult technique.
It was the same technique I had failed at before.
My heart was beating fast as I started cooking.
I felt Emma’s eyes on me, and it made me even more nervous.

Halfway through, I made a mistake.
I wanted to give up, but then I remembered why I loved cooking.
It was not about winning; it was about making something delicious.
I took a deep breath and started again, focusing on cooking.

When I finished, I presented my dish to the judges.
They tasted it, and I waited nervously.
To my surprise, they loved it.
Emma came over and said, "Well done, Alice."

At that moment, I realized something important.
My worth was not about winning or being the best.
It was about my love for cooking and the joy it brought me.
I left the competition feeling confident and happy about my hobby.
