Deep squats help engage the baby into the pelvis, but they should be avoided if the baby is in breech position.

Because in a breech presentation, the baby’s bottom is down and head is up, so doing deep squats might cause the baby’s bottom to get engaged into the pelvis, making it harder for the baby to turn later.

So the first step is to help the baby turn into the cephalic (head-down) position.

So cat and cow and knee chest are helpful to bring the baby to head down position.
