This video introduces Gaussian Random Field (GRF) theory, including an explanation of what if meant by "fields" of data and why they are relevant to fMRI.  I introduce the Euler characteristic of GRFs and how we can use it analytically solve for a height threshold that maintains a family-wise false positive rate of p is less than 0.05 over the GRF.  I end by discussing the strengths and weaknesses of this form of voxel-wise thresholding.
