Finding Home Again: Gratitude, Hope and Thankfulness After the Storm

After a long epic 10,000 mile RV journey to Canada and The Western US, we made our way back home to Florida racing against time and the impending arrival of Hurricane Milton to try and save our River home only to fall short when the Withlacoochee River floods it banks and all is almost lost but we can rebuild and we have hope and are thankful for that and for having a dry roof over our heads and a family to share it with.. This holiday season, we reflect on the true meaning of home. After losing our house to flooding from Hurricane Helene and Milton, we found ourselves moving back into my childhood home, one we thought would be sold six months ago. But amidst the challenges, we are grateful to have a warm, safe space to call our own. Home is more than just shelter; it’s where we heal, gather, and find love and joy.
