Royal family attend traditional Christmas Day service at Sandringham

The King and Queen have greeted wellwishers at the Sandringham estate as they led the royal family in attending the traditional Christmas Day service.

About 45 family members and guests are expected to gather for celebrations at the King’s estate in Norfolk this year.

There were cheers of “Merry Christmas your majesty” as the King led the family to the service. The Princess of Wales greeted people as she made one of her first public appearances since returning to royal duties after treatment for cancer.
