Food Chain - In an ecosystem who eats whom is called food chain.

Energy flow - Transfer of energy from one trophic level to next higher graphic level is called Energy Flow.

10 percent law of energy flow was given by Raymond Lindeman in 1942 .

STATEMENT - " When organisms are consumed by other animals nearly 10 percent of energy of the food is fixed into the flesh and is available for next higher trophic level organism".

Note - Only 1% of total solar energy is utilised by producers falling on it and 99% is losed or reflected back.

Note - From producers to next higher trophic level nearly 10% of energy goes to consumers and get fixed into flesh.
