“Every fight seems to increase the effort required to achieve what me and my coaches feel like is that "best" version of myself as an athlete. As much as I dread it, I fight in the ring because it is an opportunity the truly requires complete dedication in order to be successful. As much as I hate the daily grind, it is the cumulative effect of weeks of running, dieting, focused technical development, mental improvements and physical conditioning that allows me to succeed. I think I am drawn to fighting because the challenge will never disappear.”

Taylor McClatchie is our fighter of the month for February. With 50 bouts under her belt McClatchie defended her Master's thesis last year (the Monday morning after fighting a 4-woman tournament over the weekend). Researcher by day, fighter by night, McClatchie has traveled far and wide to challenge herself. Thanks for being an inspiration McClatchie!
