We should be responsible in our consumption. According to Emma, a communication practitioner, advertising and media often promote overconsumption. Today, ownership is seen as a sign of well-being, pushing people to buy things they don’t really need. Therefore, it is important to practice responsible consumption and make it part of daily life. The principle of quality over quantity means choosing one good product that also benefits the environment. Emma Aliudin is a communication lecturer that dedicated to responsible consumption and sustainability through education and social movements.

Emma Rachmawati Aliudin has been a full-time lecturer in the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya since 2017. Previously, she worked as a journalist for various national media outlets and has been active as a communication consultant and trainer, specializing in writing and public speaking. A graduate of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Indonesia and holding a Master’s degree in Communication from Universitas Paramadina, she has a strong interest in media issues, interpersonal communication, as well as the empowerment of women and young generations.
