Lost Lake & WASA Mountain Bike Trails |Lake Ann, MI

Pere Marquette State Forest Mountain Bike Trails | Lost Lake and WASA trails. Between Frankfort and Traverse City are many trails I had never ridden, so last September Karen, Todd and I decided to explore the trails near Lake Ann, MI.

Most of these trails are old scchool trails within the Pere Marquette State Forrest, with lots of twists, turns, and rolling hills. Seems to get very little traffic due to the amount of debris, but I really enjoyed it. We all found this trail to be a nice departure from the modern machine-built flow trails and a return to some good ole adventure biking. The entire trail system is 2-way so you can double you mileage if you like, or if you get lost its easy to turn around.
Due to the rain we were only able to ride part of WASA and Lost Lake trails starting from the Ransom Lake lot off Belows Lake Road. This was a very small (2-3 car dirt lot) with no running water, or bathrooms...Basically a pull off next to the road.

After the ride it was only a few min drive to the downtown Lake Ann, where we enjoyed delicious locally made beer from Lake Ann Brewery and some lunch from The Stone Oven next door.
