Repairing ripped out tines on bale spike

Описание к видео Repairing ripped out tines on bale spike

In this video i replace the top box on a bale spike due to the original not being made strong enough and ripping the bushes out.

Firstly, i straighten out the bent side plate by heating it then knocking it back with the big hammer. I cut off the old box section using the plasma cutter then grind down the left over welds. A new length of 100x100x6mm box section is cut with the chop saw, cleaned up and set up on the cnc plasma table to cut the holes for the new bushes to be welded in. Extra plates are also cut out to double up the thickness around the tine bushes.
The tines are squared up and tacked in then fully welded around. The new box is then set up with the rest of the frame and welded in.
Last job was to give it a quick wash off and a respray.

Hope you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching.
