2024/08/05 – Monday Top Charts of the Day by Harry Boxer, TheTechTrader.com.

Wall Street had a crash scenario on Monday with a big plunge, then a decent bounce, but it didn’t get us out of the woods by any means. In the meantime, let’s take a look at some stocks that are moving.

CareDx, Inc (CDNA) dipped on Monday, filled the gap to the trendline, reversed sharply in an engulfing bullish reversal bar from 19.10 to 25.02, and finished at 24.18, up 1.30, or 5.66%, on 1.5 million shares traded. Look for a retest of the highs at 27, and then 30-31.

EverQuote, Inc. (EVER), with the big reversal in after hours on earning on Monday, came down to the moving averages and trendline, and then exploded from 22.60 to 28.52, a 6-point reversal that took it up 2.79, or 11.2%, to close at 27.60, on 565.2K shares traded. That’s the highest close we’ve seen on this stock since 2021. It might get up into low to mid-30’s. Nice chart.

Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR) had an amazing reversal on Monday, with a dip to 20.81, it rallied back, and then in after-hours earnings came out and it really ran, going from 20.81 to 28.78, and closing at 26.90, up 2.15, or 8.7%, on 105.1 million shares traded. If it follows through, my targets are 32-34.

Zevra Therapeutics, Inc. (ZVRA) exploded on Monday and went from 1.60 to 9.69, taking out a massive two and a half year base, with a move up of 1.60, or 25.4%, to close at 7.90, on 8.6 million shares traded. Now, the possibility exists for it to make a move around 10 3/4-11.
