Rescue helicopters scanned remote corners of quake-hit northeast Afghanistan Tuesday (2/6) to bring vital relief to traumatised villagers, amid fears that the death toll could reach 5,000. The hospital in the Shajap village 100 kms to the west from Feisabad is receiving a steady row of people with different kinds of injuries. So far the local doctors, helped by international aid workers, have managed to keep up with the flow of new patients.
