八百万の神の集う神在月 出雲大社 『神迎神事』『神迎祭』『神在祭』『縁結び大祭』『神等去出祭』　Izumo Taisha Shrine, where eight million gods gather

出雲では旧暦の10月を神在月と呼びます。全国から八百万の神(やおよろずのかみ)が、出雲大社に集まり、『神議(かみはかり・神様の会議)』をするという故事からそう呼ばれるようになったと言われています。
議長は出雲大社の主祭神である大国主大神(オオクニヌシノオオカミ)、議題は人々の幸せと、人同士の良縁を結ぶこと。
遥か昔の日本神話の神々と現代の人々とをつなぐ出雲大社の神事と神在月の出雲の世界をお届けします。

In Izumo, October in the lunar calendar is called KAMIARITSUKI meaning the month of gods exists. It is said that eight million gods (Yaorozu no Kami) from all over the country gathered at Izumo Taisha Shrine to hold a "Kamihakari-God's Meeting".
The chairman is Okuninushi-no-Okami, the main deity of the Izumo Taisha Shrine, and the agenda is to connect people's happiness and good ties between people.
We will deliver the world of Izumo, the Shinto ritual of Izumo Taisha, which connects the gods of Japanese mythology long ago and the people of today.
