Adding the Piaget Polo Skeleton into my Collection

From the perspective of someone who actually lives and breathes watches: ultra-thin watches tend to scare collectors in today's environment.

Australians tend to have a more active lifestyle. Sport, proximity to water, or just an overall go-getter type activity every weekend. Sports watches in steel and on bracelet reign supreme here.

That doesn't mean no one enjoys a good dress watch or two.

I am very lucky to be able to chat to many collectors who fancy adding something different into their collection. And for many, it is only a matter of time and experience over the years, that leads them towards manufacturers like Piaget.

Enter the Piaget Polo Skeleton in Steel (and on bracelet). It is an ultra-thin watch with a skeletonized movement, made in durable steel, and comes with an interchangeable bracelet and leather strap.

This is truly a unique proposition amongst today's modern watches.

Like many things in life - don't knock it till you try it. It's a watch that I always bring out when I want to challenge someone's interpretation of what a "watch" should look and feel like on the wrist. It is actually very amusing to see a seasoned watch collector draw question marks above his head as he puts on the Piaget.

This is a sweet spot for me. After a decade and a half of being in the business of watches - ultra-thin watchmaking still intrigues me. So much that I've decided to add another one to my personal rotation.

Monards is an authorized retailer of Piaget watches and jewellery.
