Hey there, welcome back to my channel! Today, we're going to show you how to create a band composite in ERDAS Imagine 2015. This powerful software allows you to stack multiple bands of satellite imagery to create a single composite image, giving you a more comprehensive view of the area you are analyzing. So, let's dive in!

Step 1: Import your images
First, make sure all your images are in the same format and projection. Then, open ERDAS Imagine 2015 and go to the "File" menu and select "Open". Browse your files and select all the bands you want to include in your composite image.

Step 2: Create a new stack
Once your images are imported, go to the "Raster" menu, select "Stack" and then "Stack Manager". This will open a new window where you can select all the bands you want to stack. Make sure to arrange them in the correct order, according to their spectral range.

Step 3: Adjust the stack settings
Next, click on the "Settings" button in the stack manager window. Here, you can adjust the settings for your stacked image. You can choose the output format, the output spatial resolution, and the file name. You can also choose to apply any enhancements or corrections to your image, like pan-sharpening or atmospheric correction.

Step 4: Generate the composite
Once you've adjusted the settings, click on the "Generate Stack" button. ERDAS Imagine will then start processing your images and stacking them together to create a single composite image.

Step 5: View your composite
Once the processing is complete, you can view your composite image by going to the "View" menu and selecting "Windows". Here, you can choose to view your stacked image as a single band or as a true color composite. You can also add other layers, like a county or city boundary, to your composite image to give it more context.
