After exploring Kuala Belait in our last vlog, we visited the nearby city of Seria where the HQ of the Brunei Shell Petroleum company is located! Here we learnt about the massive oil and gas industry and how Shell extracts it from the ocean bed and refines it. There's a small museum with interactive sessions to teach visitors about this process and we enjoyed it! Later we visited the Billionth barrel monument, which was built in 1991 along the beach in Seria - it is a symbol of achievement in Brunei's oil production. After that we headed down to Panaga club and walked on the beautiful black sand beach before arriving in a lovely Indian restaurant for a delicious north Indian meal! 😋
