The Akron Police were dispatched to assist OSP. Per the call notes, one individual had run from OSP with a firearm in his waistband; when officers arrived on the scene, there were several individuals still in the vehicle.

Officers removed individuals, starting with the front seat passenger, one at a time. The front seat passenger was removed, and an extended pistol magazine was found in the front seat. A gun was found on the floor when officers removed the individual sitting in the back seat on the passenger side. The passenger sitting behind the driver's seat, Deonte, refused to listen to officers' commands and kept reaching into his pockets and down by the seat. Deonte was removed from the back seat by force and placed under arrest. Charges are pending via OSP. The person who took off running was apprehended as well and another gun was found lying in the backyard of the house where he was found.
