Ranking Modestep - Diamonds EP

I won't lie, for the first Modestep EP in 3 years, this felt a little bit underwhelming. All the tracks are collabs and some of which felt very sonically jarring at times, which really left a sour taste in the mouths of a lot of fans. I think after giving this EP a few listens over, I don't think it's as bad as it was on first listen. With that said though, this is probably one of their weakest projects in terms of production quality. The vocals from Josh are honestly a step up from what I would normally hear back from 2018-2019, so it was nice to hear some pretty solid vocal performances from him. I don't think it's a bad EP, but I do have my criticisms and I felt a very mixed bag on this project overall. I think the collaborators did a fine job overall, all 5 of which lending their own unique sounds on a Modestep project. As of right now though, I am feeling very 50/50 on this EP.
