Darasuram, Airavatesvara temple is one of the UNESCO world heritage monument and marks it as one among three living chola temples. This temple was built by Raja Raja Chola II between 1143AD-1173AD. This temple which we you can see in this video was, seven times larger in size, but was destroyed by various invasions. You can see the remaining ruins in the end of the video. This temple is said to be architectural marvel.
