The Secret Allies of Dale | Creatures of Middle-earth

Welcome back friends and foes of Middle-earth! Today we'll look at the often overlooked secret allies of the Men of Dale. In The Hobbit we meet an unlikely hero in a little bird - The Old Thrush. Not only does it play a part in the prophecy that makes it possible for Thorin's Company to enter Erebor - It also helps Bard the Bowman slay Smaug in Lake-town, when it tells him about the dragon's weak spot.
The Thrushes are interesting creatures and Thorin Oakenshield are quite familiar with them as he explains to Bilbo in The Hobbit.
