Making a Kia Sportage Body Lift Kit

Showing some of the machining steps for the Kia Sportage body lift kit.

We developed this kit over 15 years ago at the request of some Kia Sportage owners. Initially we made the 1-3/8" (35mm) lift kit, as that was the highest lift possible without altering the OEM body mounting hardware. Later, based upon customer request, we added a 3" lift kit with taller blocks and custom machined bolt extensions. There is a lot of machining steps required for these lift blocks and the bolt extensions. We have both the blocks and the bolt extensions available separately.

Note that you can only install a body lift on a vehicle with body-on-frame construction. The 1st generation models (through 2005) were body-on-frame. Later generation models used a uni-body construction that thus have no separate body to lift off the frame and thus a body lift is not possible.
