A Surprise Flush of Gourmet Mushrooms: Sow Once, Enjoy for Years and Years

Was surprised to find a fresh flush of Stropharia Winecap gourmet mushrooms volunteering in a new spot in my garden. These easy-to-grow edible tasty mushrooms will naturalize all over the garden (use my tip for giving them a helping hand in spreading around to new spots). I used these in beef n barley soup for dinner.

The recent rains have produced a flush of new growth in several spots in the past week, showing that our drought hasn’t damaged the mycelium.
