Craving for a short quarantine-free trip outside Singapore? Now you can!
Since 7th Sep 2021, the newly opened Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) allows for quarantine-free travel between Singapore and Germany.

For those who do plan to travel to Germany shortly, it is important to understand and distinguish the requirements to enter Germany compared to the requirements to enter Singapore, as they are very different.

You can travel freely from Singapore to Germany without serving quarantine if you have not stayed in an “area of variant of concern” during the last 10 days, and meet either of the following criteria:
1. Singapore residents: Have stayed in Singapore for at least the past six months.
2. Non-Singapore residents: Fully vaccinated and received their last required vaccination dose at least 14 days before the date of travel to Germany. Non-Singapore residents must carry proof of their vaccination status. Some nationals may not be eligible for entry, please check the travel advisory for more information.

Children under 12 may enter Germany without quarantine when accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. However, unvaccinated travelers of all ages, are not eligible for the Vaccinated Travel lane, and will have to serve quarantine upon return to Singapore.

Brief summary:
You need to be fully vaccinated, take 1 x PCR test pre-departure, 1 x PCR test upon arrival in Singapore, 2 x post-arrival PCR tests (on the 3rd and 7th day in Singapore).
Travellers must have remained in Germany and/or Singapore in the last 21 consecutive days prior to their departure for Singapore.
Obtain approved Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP)
Travel only on dedicated VTL flights.
Short-term visitors who require a visa for travel to Singapore must separately obtain a visa. They must also purchase travel insurance, with a minimum coverage of S$30,000 for COVID-19-related medical treatment and hospitalisation costs, prior to travel to Singapore. These visitors must also use the TraceTogether app in Singapore to facilitate contact tracing.
