How To Paint Old Bones | Warhammer 40000 | Maugan Ra Painting Tutorial

Maugan Ra, the Reaper of Souls.
The Pheonix Lord that stood against the Tyranids of Hive Fleets Kraken and Leviathan and then reached into the Warp and rescued what remained of his lost people. A truly legendary and inspiring hero with a model that displays it all.

This miniature was presented to me as an opportunity to improve my painting skills. This Pheonix Lord is covered in dark armour and lots of bones. Taking inspiration from the Blanchitsu painting style, I use a wide variety of painting techniques and perform an experiment that transforms the whole thing.

Characters need time in order for them to truly stand out, both on the shelf and the tabletop.
