Discussion with a Gender Therapist | Interview with Dr. Z PhD | MTF Transgender Transition

Today, let’s do another deep dive into psychology, therapy, and transgender issues. I have the wonderful pleasure of being joined today by Dr. Natalia Zhikhareva, who some of you may know as Dr. Z PhD from her YouTube channel of the same name. She is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with trans and nonbinary adults. She approaches therapy in a way that tailors care to each individual’s unique gender journey and gender transition needs, with her readily acknowledging that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to gender transition or being trans. She has over 15 years of experience working with trans clients, served over 1000 trans clients, created over 200 videos designed to help trans adults on their transition journeys, and written over 100 blog and article posts. Today, Dr. Z and I are going talk a little about her journey into doing this work and her approaches to gender-affirming care.
