Origin Autopass Worth $200?

Shaper Origin – a handheld CNC router (https://www.shapertools.com/en-us/origin) – offers a $200 upgrade called Autopass. (https://www.shapertools.com/en-us/aut...) I have not yet plunked down the extra $200, and on this video, I activate a free Autopass trial to decide is the extra $200 is money well spent.

I needed to cut several mortises for Festool dominoes, and since I don’t have a dedicated domino machine, I use the Shaper Origin to cut those mortises. The video shows how to use Shaper Origin and Shaper Plate (https://www.shapertools.com/en-us/plate) to place and cut the mortises. For the comparison, I cut one mortise with “traditional” cutting (no Autopass) to cutting with Autopass.
