In this video, I briefly discuss the evolution of the CM556 lower receiver from the legacy LE901 design. I also take you on a visual tour of the differences between the CM556 lower receiver design as compared to a standard Colt LE6920 lower receiver.

I will be doing a companion video that takes a close look at the design features of the CM556 upper receiver and how it differs from the LE6920/CR6920 upper receiver.
