Prawns fry is also known as shrimp fry or royyala fry(in telugu) is a famous dish of southindia. In this video video I am going to show you how to cook perfect authentic prawns fry in andhra style.

Royyala Vepudu Recipe:

Prawn (cleaned) - 250 gms
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp + ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp + ½ tsp
Onion (finely chopped) - 2 nos
Green Chilli (slit) - 2 nos
Salt - ¼ tsp + ½ tsp
Curry Leaves - 10-15 nos
Oil - 3 tbsp + 3tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Jeera Powder - 1 tbsp
Garam Masala - ½ tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

1. Marinate the prawns in ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp chilli powder for 20-30min.

2. Heat oil in a Kadai and add the marinated prawns..saute until the water evaporates...remove from oil and keep it aside/

3. Heat oil in the same kadai and add curry leaves,
chopped onions and slit green chillies. Saute until the onions are golden brown in colour.

4. Add the marinated prawns adn saute for 3-5mins.

5. Add Red chilli powder,coriander powder & jeera powder cover and cook for 5 mins.

6. Add garam masala powder and saute for 2mins.

7. Mix until well coated and the preparation is dry...

Serve hot prawns fry with steamed rice and enjoy :)
