4K scuba dive footage with the SONY ActionCam FDR-X3000R

Описание к видео 4K scuba dive footage with the SONY ActionCam FDR-X3000R

This 4K footage was taken with the new SONY ActionCam FDR-X3000R to test the camera's performance in a scuba diving environment.
The first part was taken at the wreck of the S.S. Suddhadib near Sattahip, Thailand. The second part is coral dive footage taken at Hin Alhambra (aka Hin Ploeng) near Klaeng, Thailand.
There are only 2 shots contained in this edit which were taken with a regular Full HD ActionCam and I feel the difference is quite visible. The first shot of me holding the 4K camera in the hand and diving into the bubbles of other divers and the pitch-speed trip through the wreck's propeller shaft tunnel.
I found the resolution of the 4K footage absolutely amazing. Even for playback in Full HD, it pays to shoot in 4K.
This edit here was finished as 4K. the downside these days is that there are still very few playback options around for 4K footage and the added slowness while editing footage which is 4 times heavier than Full HD footage.
I recommend to shoot in 4K but edit in Full HD 1080! This will give you the opportunity to zoom into your footage by 200% and still be in fullest resolution for 1080. Be it edit zooms, pans, crops - it leaves you with incredible control in a Full HD edit without compromising the final look.
