The Naha Police Station presented "voice generators" to three banks in the prefecture to alert them to special scams.

The voice generator plays a blasted message when there is a response to the motion sensor.

In response to the recent outbreak of special fraud involving police officers, the Naha Police Department has donated two voice generators each to the Bank of Okinawa, Bank of the Ryukyus, and Okinawa Kaiho Bank, as a countermeasure to this problem.

A Bank of Okinawa representative said, "More and more customers are being directed to ATMs outside our stores, so we hope that the installation of voice generators will help prevent damage.

Each bank plans to install them at unmanned ATMs in the future, and the Naha Police Department will increase the number if they are effective.
