At BJ Farms, we prefer morning grazing only after sunlight removes moisture (dew) from the grass.
This practice helps protect goats not only from Foot Rot, but also from ET (Enterotoxemia / “மரக்குதிரை நோய்”).

BJ Farms-ல், புல்களில் இருக்கும் ஈரத்தன்மை (பனி) சூரிய ஒளியால் நீங்கிய பிறகே காலை மேய்ச்சலை தொடங்குகிறோம்.
இந்த நடைமுறை கால் அழுகல் (Foot Rot) மட்டுமல்ல,
மரக்குதிரை நோய் (ET) வருவதையும் தடுக்கும்.

✅ Preferred Grazing Time | விருப்பமான மேய்ச்சல் நேரம்

🌤 Morning | காலை: 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM
(After grass dries naturally | பனி உலர்ந்த பிறகு)

🌇 Evening | மாலை: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

During these timings, our Original Kodi Goats graze actively and digest feed better, enjoying tender tree leaves, fresh grass, and natural forage.

🌞 Why We Avoid Early Dew Grazing

Grazing on wet, dew-covered grass can:

Disturb rumen digestion

Trigger ET (Enterotoxemia / மரக்குதிரை நோய்)

Allowing sunlight to dry the grass helps:

Maintain stable digestion

Reduce ET risk

Keep hooves firm and healthy

Along with proper grazing management,
ET (Enterotoxemia) and TT (Tetanus Toxoid) injections are essential for grazing goats.

Why ET & TT matter:

Prevent sudden deaths due to ET (மரக்குதிரை நோய்)

Protect against tetanus from wounds and hoof injuries

Especially important for free-grazing goats and kids

(Always follow vaccination schedules advised by a qualified veterinarian.)
