I Wanna Escape Into My Mind

Honestly one of the best fangames I've played. The amount of effort and charm put into the original art is incredible and, just as importantly, it was fun to play all the way through. The gimmicks were varied and creative, but unlike games similar to this one, it never felt like you were struggling to overcome the gimmicks themselves. You can tell there was a lot of care put into balancing the difficulty to be consistent and enjoyable, the bosses showcase this as well. And somehow, beyond all of that, it managed to incorporate a story. A good story with a real message, and I'm glad it was told this way.
