Working as a crew member on TV commercials and feature films has allowed me the opportunity to observe the techniques of many international DOPs.

Although the technical side of being a cinematographer is often discussed I feel that the psychological state of how to be a working DOP is regularly ignored. In this video I go over 3 basic things I was able to pick up from working on set with Jeff Cronenweth, David Fincher's regular cinematographer, which I feel help lead to a successful career in the film industry.
